Oh Man!

Yesterday sucked.

I woke up feeling horrible yesterday. I was dizzy and had a killer headache. The only thing that would help in making the pain go away would be to sleep. I was probably only awake for a few hours yesterday. It felt like I had a constant migraine! I don't know what was wrong, but I didn't get to drink much water and now I'm super dehydrated.

At least today I feel soooo much better. I don't even need to take my pain meds anymore. I'm still sore, but not enough that I can't handle. My boyfriend is back at work, so now I'm just at home by myself, trying to kill time. I'm still trying to determine if the growling in my tummy is hunger or not. I'll try and eat some chicken broth today. I've tried to eat it the last couple of days, but never had any luck.

My cat, Vivi, is being a jerk, too. She took her collar off and I can't find it. I'm pretty sure it's under my boyfriend's recliner, but I can't lift it up to check, yet. Now I can't tell where she is and she pounces on me at random time. Earlier she pounced right on my stomach!!

  1. I am under Medical Review right now through my insurance so hopefully I will be getting an approval soon and then I will have to schedule my surgery after the end of July, I have a family reunion in July and want to be able to enjoy all the great food before I get banded! Coincidentally my reunion is in San Antonio where your from :) We have never been up there, we are from California and are soooo looking forward to going out and enjoying our time with family and of course all the home cooking.

Just wanted to let you know that your day to day post op blogging is really helpful in getting an insight of what to look forward to, thanks and keep up the good work! Steph

    1. I hope you have a smooth approval process for your procedure. It's also a coincidence that I'm going to be traveling to California next month as well. :) I'll be going to San Diego.

  2. Awesome, San Diego is always fun! SO far so good, I received a call from my insurance stating they wanted a copy of my signed post op agreement with my surgeon, so it looks like it will go thru! Haven't got the green light yet but I am sure I will! I am soooo excited feel like my life in on pause right now until I get the surgery and am able to lose weight. How long did you take off from work?

    1. I'm crossing my fingers for you! I only took a week and a half off of work, but honestly, I feel like I recovered a lot faster than some people. I think two weeks is a good start to take, just in case there are some complications.

  3. I might only take a week off, which I know might be too short of a time but I just started a new job and am already taking time off for my family reunion and although they know I have a pending lap band surgery coming up I don't want to press my luck and already take so much time off. The thing that I am dreading is I'm an LVN so I'm pretty much on my feet all day so I hope I have a quick recovery too! Thanks for posting your new diet regime, it gives me an insight on how long it will take for me in my transition, even though I know everyone is different it is still interesting to me to hear another persons perspective and their journey :)

    1. Wow, I really feel for you if you're only going to take a week off. Your job doesn't offer Short Term Disability? That's what I used to take my time off.
